Project Manager for Maritime Command Systems
Do you want to contribute to strengthening Sweden's and Europe's security in a time of increasing global challenges? Do you have experience leading teams and driving complex, cross-functional projects that make a real difference? Do you thrive in a maritime context? Then this role could be perfect for you.
Responsibilities
As a project manager in our unit, you will lead projects and sub-projects within maritime command systems on vessels. This may involve purchasing new systems and maintaining older ones in areas such as navigation, communication, sensors, and combat management systems. Project teams will consist of 5-15 participants, each with their unique expertise.
Your responsibilities will include planning, leading, developing, and following up on the project work carried out in your project teams. You will be responsible for finances and procurement within your projects and sub-projects. You will also analyze, evaluate, and report on project documents and provide recommendations for decisions.
This is a role with many points of contact, both internally within FMV and with suppliers and other stakeholders.
The position is located in Stockholm. Travel is a natural part of the job, both domestically and internationally.
We are looking for you
You have an academic education or another relevant qualification that we consider equivalent. Furthermore, you have project management training or equivalent skills acquired in other ways. You have current and relevant experience in a supervisory role and have good knowledge of project management. Additionally, you have good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We view it positively if you have current and relevant experience as a project manager. If you have experience in, or have otherwise gained good knowledge of, the technical field, it will help you succeed in the role. Perhaps you have experience with command systems, communication systems, navigation systems, or sensor systems? We also appreciate experience in technical system work. Experience with project planning tools, such as MS Project, is also an advantage. It is also meritorious if you have a post-secondary technical education and experience in negotiations.
As a person, you work well with others and facilitate dialogue smoothly. You can maintain your composure and focus on the right things even when situations are stressful. Furthermore, you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and empower others to achieve common goals. You coordinate groups, create engagement, and participation.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
